    What is a SSI redetermination?

    ssi has had me on for 1 year presumtive now the want a redetermination. I have no idea how long is a redetermination.

    According to the SSA a redetermination is simply a review of your income, resources, and living arrangements. This is done generally every 6 years to be sure you are still eligible for SSI and are getting the right amount of SSI benefits.

    If the Social Security Administration determines that your income and resources are still below the federally allowed level your benefits should not be affected.
